PADS These come in different sizes, styles, and thicknesses. Some have wings that fold under your underwear for better protection. Some are fragrant; avoid these if they irritate your skin.

PANTY LINERS Thinner and shorter than pads, liners are for lighter flow and come in various shapes and sizes, including those meant for thongs.

TAMPONS Available in a variety of sizes depending on flow, tampons can be fragranced, and come with or without an applicator. They should not be left in for more than eight hours and usually need to be changed more frequently. Tampons can be worn while swimming and exercising without a prob.
